Guys, I have a problem. It’s a newly acquired problem, but a problem none the less.
After years of being that reader who can only read one thing at a time, I have ventured into the world of reading multiple books at the same time. By ventured I mean crashed head first. I am basically a book polygamist at this point. Hence the lack of book reviews that I have posted in the last couple weeks. It’s not that I’m not reading, I’m just not finishing anything.
My current reading list looks like this:
Dracula by Bram Stoker. This is the longest book I am reading for Frightening Fall, and man, it is dryer than Utah in July.
The Titan’s Curse by Rick Riordan. Everyone is posting pictures of their copies of House of Hades and I’m just over here like, “Oh hey! I am almost done with the third book in the original series!”
The Annihilation of Foreverland by Tony Bertauski. This book was a complete surprise. It is insane. So excited to finish it and post a review about it.
Coraline by Neil Gaiman which I am basically just milking on audio book so it doesn’t end, I literally have like 4 minutes left.
And then you have my TBR pile that is just sitting there staring at me.
Let’s not even go into the amount of ARC’s and novels on my NetGalley shelf. It is getting out of control. You would think I would just quit requesting things right? Wrong.
Also, did I mention that The Fall of the Hotel Dumort and Allegiant both come out in the next two weeks? Yeah, if you need me I will just be inside reading this entire month.
Basically, this is going to be me packing to go to my parents house for Thanksgiving.
Good thing we are driving so I don’t have to worry about baggage fees 🙂
On a more productive note, I got a new hair cut! Bangs I haven’t had since the second grade, why not?
hahaha love this post! I have turned into a book polygamist since I started blogging too. I don’t have quite as many as you on the go…but I’m not far off. Madness, it’s just madness!

Haha right? The worst thing is it is all self-inflicted madness!

That is literally the most awesome gif ever. I have wanted the ability to do that since I was about 5. I know about this dilemma of yours. I fear I am afflicted by the same thing. Ever since I discovered online reading, I try to read too many stories at once. I think I need to get back to reading one at a time. I would be reading House of Hades right now, but Amazon was slow with my delivery yesterday (to my utmost despair) so I must wait until I get home tonight to get my copy. 😦
Side note – I love your bangs! I used to have them too. Sometimes I toy with having them again…
P.S. Love your phone cover.

That is the worst! Usually Amazon is late getting me my pre-paid stuff as well, but they get me my ebooks about 2 hours early on most releases so, I guess that kind of makes up for it? Not really though! I just finished up The Titan’s Curse this morning, so hopefully I’ll be able to get House of Hades pretty easily by the time I get too it!
Thank you, I love them! My hair grows crazy fast, so the upkeep is going to be the worst part.
And there is no way I couldn’t have a Tardis case. After all, my phone is bigger on the inside 🙂

Amazon usually gets movies and things out on time, but apparently not books. Grrr…
Hope you are enjoying Percy Jackson. I think Rick Riordan is a master of storytelling. 🙂
You’re welcome! I’m jealous. My hair grows rather slow.
Of course not. Haha, I see what you did there. 😉

Dracula isn’t quite what one expects if one has read any recent vampire fiction. I enjoyed it, though. Good luck with that reading list.

I am finding it is not even close to what I expected. I had the same thing happen with Frankenstein. It wasn’t even close to the story of Frankenstein I am used too, and I ended up being frustrated throughout most of it. I did love bits and pieces of it, like the sections from the monsters POV. I am hoping that is how Dracula ends up for me, since you do get multiple POV’s throughout!

Ugh, just finish Dracula and get it over with! I think the last three pages are the best in the entire book! I have always read more than one book at a time until lately – well, I couldn’t read like I used to when my son was little, and now that he’s older and I can indulge in my love of books, I’ve gotten to where I’m only reading one at a time now. Of course, the bed side light is out in my bedroom, so that is part of the reason why I’m only reading one at a time, too!

Also – sorry – love the bangs! and the cell phone cover too! 🙂 I want a cool cover, but I won’t give up my Otter box, I am too rough on my phones!

Thank you!! It is a pretty sturdy case, although not as tough as an Otter Box. They should just start making cool designs, other than just cool colors so then you can personalize your phone a bit!

I have been reading it at work today, and it does pick up in parts. I’m on track to finish it in time to post about in on Friday! Not going to lie though, I’ll be happy when it is over 🙂
The bedside light on my side it out too! I have been having my husband turn his on but not letting him switch me sides. I really am a pain, he is a good man to put up with my reading sometimes! 🙂
