Hey strangers! I hope everyone had a fantastic holiday season! You may have been asking yourself over the past couple months if The Book Boozer was just slowly dwindling away and ceasing to continue on into the New Year. Well, I am happy to tell you that you are wrong. In the nicest way of course π Where have I been then you ask? Well, in a car, mostly. Between traveling the 20 hours to my parents house in Oklahoma for Thanksgiving, then the 20 hours back, then the 6 hours to my brother and sister-in-law’s for Thanksgiving, then the 6 hours back, I feel confident in saying I could never be a truck driver. The amount I have spent traveling in a car bring a whole new light to this picture:
Sometimes I forget how massive the United States is. Then the universe decides that I need a little reminder!
I am also one of those people that lets my phone go dead and doesn’t check my facebook or email when I am on vacation. I like to just separate myself from technology, and spend time with my family. So naturally, blog posts begin to lack.
Also, I have been re-reading the Harry Potter series, and am currently on Goblet of Fire, which I am enjoying much more this time that I did the first time I read it. It has always been my least favorite book of the series, but I think it may have been my personality at the time. Now, I am thoroughly enjoying it! I haven’t been doing any reviews on the HP books I have read, because I tend to not do that for re-reads. I will have a quotes post up when I have finished though, that there’s that π
Also, over Thanksgiving I was nominated for my first award! Yay! Kate over at Did That Just Happen Blog nominated me for the Awesome Blog Content award! Everyone should go check out her blog, it is hilarious!

I can understand withdrawing from technology while on vacation. I always start off with that intention as well, but I fear my technological addiction might be worse than yours.
My least favourite HP was Order of the Phoenix. Goblet of Fire was my least favourite film, though. It’s interesting how people’s preferences with regards to the series differ.
Congrats on the award.

I think one of the reasons that I am enjoying Goblet of Fire this go round is that it is so different from the movie (it is also my least favorite film), so there are bits that I have forgotten about!
Thank you π

Thanks! It’s good to be home!
This is my first re-read of HP ever, so I am much more ashamed than you should be at all!
You’re welcome for the nomination, you totally deserve it!

Always good to come home π It’s actually the first time I’ve been home for the holidays. Mum usually goes to the caravan park near the lake so it was nice.
Oh but that’s good! You’ll rediscover all the tiny details. I can’t wait for that!!!
Thanks so much, again!!!!

Aw, thanks for the nomination! I appreciate it! And wow to the Texas-Europe comparison picture! I used to live in Texas and that is a nice visual explanation of why a trip from Houston to El Paso was not a breezy one!
