Do you have a whole folder of brilliant designs just sitting on your desktop? C’mon. I know you do. You’re not fooling anyone!
Well, guess what?
My husband and I are in the process of launching an online shirt company, 7 Day Apparel!
The idea of the company is to sell shirts with designs on them from independent designers. I have raved on here before about how much I am inspired by the art I see all over the internet, whether it be inspired by books, movies, what have you. You are all incredibly talented, and we want to be able to give you another platform to show your work! And make a little money while you’re at it! When we decide to use one of your designs, you will get $1 from every shirt sold.
Here’s the twist: each shirt design will only be available for a week- but it will be the only design for sale during that time.
This does two things:
1. It gives the artist time to market their designs to their followers via social media or whatever means works for them and have a week of competition free sales.
2. Having the designs available for only a week allows us to stock more efficiently. If we have a ballpark number of how many shirts need to get sent out, that cuts out the overhead of keeping a hefty stock of all designs. Less overhead = lower cost to the customer.
Guess what? I’m not a graphic designer. Nope. Not even a little bit. So we need you! ALL OF YOU!
All you have to do is submit your designs to:

Easy! And don’t worry, when we decide to use one of your beautiful designs we will notify you a few weeks in advance so that you have time to let everyone know when they can go order your design!

Any designs at all are welcome š there are really no limitations on the content, other than if it is offensive we probably won’t choose to put it on a shirt š if you have some designs that feature something with an already existing audience, it may make them easier to market and get more people to buy your design, but really we are looking for any kind of original content. I think graphic design is incredibly broad and creative, and am excited to see anything you do Tiffany!

We are shooting for within the next two months. The business license is what is taking the longest, but we are green for go after that š I just want to get a head start on the designs so we know for sure that we have a product to put out and designers to work with. So if you have any graphic designer friends, let them know too!
